This notice explains what the listonics.com website collects, why, where it is stored and how to have it removed. It covers the website only. Information you give us during a project is governed by the agreement we sign with you.
Who is responsible
Listonics is the business responsible for the information described here. Listonics provides its services under the licence of Listi Partners Portal. You can reach us at [email protected], on WhatsApp, or at G1, Bay One Tower, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
What the enquiry form collects
When you send an enquiry or sign up to the newsletter, we receive the information you type: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message. The newsletter form asks only for an email address.
Alongside that, the form records which page you sent it from, the website you arrived from if any, the country your connection is in, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We store the hash rather than the address itself: it lets us spot repeat submissions from the same connection without keeping the address.
What else the site records
When you tap the WhatsApp button, a phone number or an email address, the site records that a tap happened, on which page, the website you arrived from, your country and the same hashed IP. It does not record who you are. This tells us which pages lead to contact.
The site counts the pages that are read. When a page opens, it adds one to a daily total for that page, the website you arrived from, and whether the screen is phone sized. The total is a number: there is no record of which pages you personally read, and no history that could be assembled into one. To count you once rather than ten times in a day, the same hashed IP is stored against today's date and deleted after sixty days. If your browser asks not to be tracked, nothing is counted at all.
The site sets no cookies, and the counting above is done on our own server rather than by an analytics company. No advertising or tracking service runs on these pages. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you will not see a cookie banner.
Why we hold it
To reply to your enquiry, to quote for work, and to keep a record of what was asked and answered. For the newsletter, to send the emails you asked for. For taps and page counts, to understand which pages are useful and which are not worth keeping. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else can see it
Enquiries are stored in a Cloudflare database and emailed to us through Resend, an email delivery service. Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, so Cloudflare handles the connection for every visit.
Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and photographs from Unsplash. Those companies receive your IP address because your browser requests the files directly from them, in the same way as visiting any site that uses them.
Our pages include a Trustpilot script. It identifies our business to Trustpilot and nothing more. It sets no cookies and sends Trustpilot no information about you. If we later invite a customer to leave a review, we will send Trustpilot that customer's email address for that purpose, and we will tell them first.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and newsletter records until you ask us to delete them. We have not set an automatic deletion date, so if you would like your details removed, email [email protected] and we will delete them.
The page counts are different, because they are totals rather than records of anyone: we keep those. The daily hashed IPs used to count a visitor once instead of ten times are deleted automatically after sixty days, and the totals they produced stay behind as plain numbers.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will act on it. The UAE government publishes an overview of the rights that apply here in its guide to data protection laws.
Changes to this notice
If what the website collects changes, this page changes with it. The date at the top is the last time it did.
