To choose an IT support company in Dubai, compare providers on written response times, whether on-site Dubai coverage is included, who actually does the work, proactive monitoring, the security baseline they install, the documentation you receive, how pricing is structured and how easy it is to leave. Price alone is a poor guide.
The twelve questions
- Can I see your SLA table — remote and on-site targets by priority?
- Is on-site support in Dubai included, and how fast?
- Are the engineers employed by you or subcontracted?
- Which vendor certifications do your engineers hold for the products you install?
- Do you monitor proactively, and what does the monthly report look like?
- What security baseline do you install as standard — firewall, MFA, endpoint protection, backup?
- Will we own the documentation, admin accounts and licences?
- How is pricing structured, and what is excluded?
- How do projects get quoted — fixed scope or hourly?
- What is the notice period and exit process?
- Can you show a sample proposal and a sample monthly report?
- Who is my named point of contact?
Red flags
- Response times described as "fast" without numbers.
- Admin passwords held by the provider with no copy for you.
- Consumer-grade networking equipment recommended for an office.
- Every quote is hourly with no scope.
- No documentation delivered after projects.
Green flags
- An assessment before a quote — they want to see the environment first.
- Itemised fixed-scope proposals.
- A written SLA with both remote and on-site targets.
- Documentation delivered and owned by you.
- A clear statement of what is not included.
How Listonics measures up
We publish our standard response targets, quote every project as a fixed scope after a free survey, employ the engineers who attend site, install a defined security baseline, and hand over documentation you own. If another provider offers the same, you have a fair comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Only after normalising what is included. Excluded on-site visits, per-ticket billing and missing monitoring make a cheap quote expensive over a year.
They matter for the products you actually run — a Microsoft or networking certification is meaningful for an office on Microsoft 365 with a business network. Ask for the specific ones.
Twelve months with a clear exit clause is standard. Be cautious of multi-year lock-ins without performance conditions.
