Running one company across two emirates
Most of the Sharjah work we do is cross-emirate: a Dubai head office with a warehouse or branch in Sharjah, or a Sharjah business whose clients and directors are in Dubai. The free zones matter to how a company is licensed, with the Hamriyah Free Zone Authority and the airport free zone the most common, but they matter less to the IT than the simple fact of two sites.
That two-site condition is where the money goes wrong. The natural thing is for each location to be set up by whoever was available, which produces two Microsoft 365 tenants, two sets of security settings and two support arrangements. Files and calendars then do not join up, the weaker site sets the security level for the whole company, and every change has to be made twice. One tenant, one identity, one baseline and a secure link between the sites costs less to run and is easier to defend.
Connectivity is the practical variable. Availability and delivery times differ considerably between Sharjah's industrial areas and its office towers, so we check what du and e& can actually provide at your address before designing anything. Travel time between the emirates is the other one, and it belongs in the agreement as a written response time rather than as a promise.

Yes, and it should. One agreement, one tenant and one security baseline means a change is made once and applies everywhere, and no site is left as the weak point. The agreement states the response time for each location separately, because travel between the emirates is real and should be written down rather than assumed.
It is scheduled rather than instant, and the agreement says what the target is for your site. In practice most faults are resolved remotely the same hour, and the visits that genuinely need hands are planned. Where downtime at the Sharjah site would be expensive, we keep a configured spare there so a swap is minutes rather than a journey.
Usually not. A second server means a second thing to patch, back up and eventually replace, and it tends to become the site nobody checks. Where the branch needs local speed, a network storage device synchronised to the cloud gives fast access with one system of record. A local server is justified by specific software, not by distance.
